It doesn't matter to us which service you use. SkyEcom, Express or Skymail? It's all possible and even combined. We have a single clearing point for all your international shipments, in or outside Europe. You send your shipments to our gateway in Amsterdam and we take care of the rest. From the Netherlands to the UK, the Middle East, South America, Asia, the US, Australia, Japan, Switzerland, Africa and much more.

Moreover, it is possible to make use of duty drawback with us. This way you get a refund of import duties and other taxes on packages that are returned from (for example) the UK.

Clearing fees

Customs clearance fees vary by country. At SkyNet, we're only too happy to help you get started making this as economical as possible for you.

For example, we know that UK customs clearance fees are favorable if your company is registered with the HMRC (government department in the UK). Low value shipments, shipments containing under 135 GPB in value, fall under a simplified procedure, which means you as the seller pay the VAT directly and there are usually no import duties charged. Plus your package goes through customs quickly.

Clearing process for Chinese imports

Day 1

Your shipment leaves (for example) from China with a lot of packages at once.
Before departure, Skynet receives a notification including a file that the shipment is coming.

Day 2

After your flight arrives at Schiphol Airport, your goods will be picked up and transported by SkyNet to SkyNet's customs warehouse in Amsterdam.

Day 2

When packages are correctly pre-notified and do not require inspection by customs, they continue into Europe within one business day. This means that all required data for both B2B and B2C customs clearance - when you offer them at the same time - are fully in order. In Amsterdam we have our own fleet of vehicles for the Benelux, which means that all deliveries in the Netherlands are delivered the same day, provided the packages are available early enough of course.

Packages where an anomaly is detected are red-flagged and inspected by customs.

All other packages proceed directly into the SkyNet delivery network (see Day 3).

Day 3

Packages with a discrepancy are inspected daily by customs, so your package will still enter the SkyNet delivery network as quickly as possible.

Day 3 and 4

All released packages go directly into the SkyNet delivery network. So with bad luck, you will have 2 days delay, and in the best case everything goes through in 1 day.

Shipments to Germany, France and Belgium are forwarded overnight.
