Impact of NATO summit on road transport.

Impact of NATO summit on road transport.

We would like to inform you of upcoming traffic disruptions caused by the NATO summit taking place in The Hague on June 24 and 25, 2025. This international event will have significant impacts on road traffic in the region; especially between June 22 and 27, various highways and local roads in the Randstad area will be temporarily closed or difficult to access. This particularly affects roads in the Greater Amsterdam area (including Schiphol) and the roads to and from The Hague.

During the week of June 22 to 27, deliveries in the immediate vicinity of the NATO summit (mainly within the postal code area starting with the number 25) may be limited. The exact consequences are still unknown, but due to the expected traffic congestion on alternative access routes, we anticipate that the traffic disruptions may also affect the transit time of shipments that are not being delivered to or picked up from The Hague and surrounding areas.

Naturally, we are doing our best to minimize inconvenience during this period by:
• Deploying additional equipment and personnel
• Adjusting the start and end times of our routes
• Making optimal use of alternative access and exit routes
• Responding proactively to the local situation during the relevant week
